What a Schoeller diagram shows
A Schoeller diagram places the major ions (Ca, Mg, Na+K, Cl, SO₄, HCO₃) along the x-axis and their concentration in milliequivalents per litre on a logarithmic y-axis, joining each sample's ions into a line. Unlike a Piper plot it keeps absolute concentration, so it's the natural choice when you want to compare the actual ionic strength of many analyses and see which samples share a chemical signature.
What data do I need?
Supply your major ions in mg/L and Hydrochart converts to milliequivalents and does the rest:
